Thank you for your generosity First Lutheran folks are amazing... just one ask on Sunday April 7th for donations to help with the need for diapers at the Baby Center resulted in $300.00. All it took was a trip to BJ‛s and we are giving the folks in need 840 diapers! God is good, All the time, and all the time, God is good!!!

Globe Donation Beginning on Easter, the collectionon in the GLOBE will be going to the Hands of Hope Food Pantry. If you forget to bring something for the Grocery Cart, please be generous when the children come with their baskets. THANK YOU. In March so far we collected $382 for Sharing Kindness.

Outreach Endowment donations 2024 First Lutheran Church is blessed with an Outreach Endowment that provides funds that we use to support important non-profit organizations on Cape Cod. This year FLC has selected six not-for-profit organizations to each receive $1,500.

PATH – People Against Trafficking Humans The mission is to eliminate human trafficking on Cape Cod by raising awareness through education, outreach and collaboration. In addition to educational activities, they have assembled and delivered hundreds of Resource Bags to assist survivors.

SAFE HARBOR SHELTER - Hyannis is a safe and secure family shelter for Emergency Assistance for eligible women and their children who are homeless due to domestic violence.

CAPE COD CARES FOR OUR TROOPS sends care packages to our troops deployed around the world on a weekly basis. They also send canine care packages to our military dogs, and have a program to support care givers of our wounded warriors.

CAPE COD FOSTER CLOSET supports foster and relative caregiver families by providing material goods for children in care, items such as clothing, shoes, toys, books, baby equipment (including formula and car seats) and furniture for all ages.

CAPE & ISLANDS TRANSGENDER RESOURCE FUND has as its mission is to lend a helping hand to transgender and gender non-conforming individuals living on Cape Cod and the Islands in need of assistance in meeting the challenge of their life journey. Assistance may include but is not limited to: Food insecurity, Medications, Doctors appointments, Transportation, Housing.

PASS CAPE COD is a safe and supportive environment for high school students facing suspension. Students will benefit from a therapeutic environment where they are also able to access their academics.

Summer Cookouts/Picnics Starting in June -Burgers, hot dogs, salads, corn and watermelon

2024 Walk for Hope Our walking team will be smaller this year as other commitments have come up for many who have walked in the past. This is one of Housing Assistance Corp (HAC) most important fundraiser and 100% of monies raised stay on Cape Cod and the Islands to assist with the housing needs of our community members. Event starts at 1pm on May 19th.

If you would like to donate, please send or drop off your check made payable to HAC- Walk for Hope and get it to First Lutheran prior to May 19th. Thank you for considering supporting our team and this worthwhile

cause.The Chosen Season 4 Starting Friday April 12th at 6pm weekly we will be showing The Chosen’s new season in Fellowship Hall. Currently the season is not available for free streaming and is only available in theaters or at select Church venues. It is entirely free and we invite discussion after each viewing. Popcorn and tissues recommended.

Prayer requests If you have a special person or loved one you would like us to pray for, please relay this information to Laurie in the church office: Office@firstcapecod.org. Please be specific, if possible, regarding the length of time you would like your loved one’s name on the prayer list. Prayer requests need to be emailed by 4 pm on Wednesday to be included in the Sunday bulletin.

This Chair Rocks New weekly chair yoga class beginning on April 4th at 400pm. This class will use a chair as a prop, bring your mat and enjoy a nice stretch.

Ladies Small Group All First Lutheran women and their friends are invited to attend this small group of women who live, laugh, love and learn together on Tuesday nights. Join the conversation on Tuesday nights in the Sandy Neck conference room at 7pm in person.

New Study Begins April 2: Behold and Believe: A Bible Study on the "I Am" Statements of Jesus by Courtney Doctor and Joanna Kimbrel, will be the study text. The cost for the book is $10.

Ride to Church There are a number of our members who would really appreciate a ride to Worship. We have found a COORDINATOR to assist in compiling and maintaining a list of both volunteer drivers and members requesting rides to worship services.  Please email the office if you would like a ride or to volunteer to be a driver.

Bible Study on Wednesdays Join Pastor Derek for a study of his book Onward Christian Soldiers? One Pastor’s Journey from Fundamentalism to Discipleship. The class will meet from 10:00 until 11:30. The book is available on Amazon and there is a link in our web site, under “Our Shepard".
